Depending if you are practicing mixed martial arts or training in the gym or out with the peeps at the favorite watering hole or attending an event, you need the right gear. The right gear depends on the conditions whether it is indoor event or outdoor activities in Phoenix in 110° weather. Whether you are training or competing. The gym may require a dress code such as rash guards to protect both the member and manage bacteria. I always send my old gear down to the training wardrobe once it’s served my recreational purpose. The fabric that is used in the clothing that you pick is probably the most essential thing necessary to having both the right mindset and the appropriate attire for training purposes or for going out on the town or to an event. The heavy cotton shirt sucks when you’re in the midst of 15,000 people at an event but they are tough as hell for working out.
I prefer lightweight and breathable fabric from some of the premier clothing lines in the summer and inside events. It helps to keep air flowing around your body making it easier for you to stay cool. You may prefer clothing that is loose but not so loose that it create drag while you are working out alternatively you do not want your attire to be so close fitting that it traps the moisture against your skin causing you to become hot, sticky, and uncomfortable. People work out better if they have the proper mindset and are not distracted by outside factors same goes for recreational selection of fight gear.
Attire is one of the most important things to any sport. It places you in the proper mindset to compete and train. It is important that your training attire meet with certain conditions in order to provide you with the comfort you need to maintain your concentration on your training and workout rather than on incidental uncomfortable detractions.
Hats are popular piece of MMA fight Gear as they are stylish yet practical. When I get done training it is a mandatory piece of gear because I’m not a skin head and I need to cover up my mop until I can get a shower and repair the damage if you know what I mean. Besides hats are just the bomb I have a couple million of them.
The best MMA gear of all is a hoody it keeps you warm after the workout and it can help you sweat when you are doing the cardio workout. Most hoody’s are pretty reasonably priced and they will look good for years and never go out of style. The older they get the rougher they look the better they look, my favorite one doesn’t have the string in it any more it has holes in both elbows and a nice tear in the left wrist and lower right side of the side seam, I love it.
